New Website

Newly reorganised and redesigned, the EventPro Website has been enhanced for your convenience, providing you with all the information you need in a fresh, easy-to-read format. All the content you remember from before is still available through the Main Menu, which is now located to the left under the main heading, but many new features will make the website more useful for you:

  • Search for any information you need using the Search this Site box located on every page.
  • If you have the annual Upgrade Protection Plan, you can now log in to EventPro Support from any page.
  • Click the new Optional Modules item under Software in the Main Menu to access detailed information about all the optional modules for EventPro: Accommodations, Attendees, Booths, and Enquiries.
  • Keep up-to-date with all of the latest news on the News page, found under the Company option in the Main Menu. Important news clips will scroll by in the News Highlights box featured on every page.
  • You will still see the latest Newsletters featured on the Newsletter page, but the E-News Archives have been updated with Article Lists by Volume, Heading or Topic, making it easier to find past articles.
  • Choose your favorite Style for the website’s appearance from the links in the upper right corner: Default, Black & White, or Forest.

Software Updates

To download the latest Software Update, which includes the New Features, Enhancements and Fixes listed below, log in to EventPro Support. Click on the Downloads tab and click on the EventPro Install V6.8 (6.8.1.653) link.

In order to access EventPro’s Software Updates and keep your software up-to-date with new features and fixes, you must have an annual Upgrade Protection Plan. If your Upgrade Protection Plan has lapsed, contact our Sales Department at Sales.uk@EventPro.net or call 0871 218 0912. They can help you reactivate your Upgrade Protection Plan so that you can continue to get the maximum advantage out of your EventPro Software investment.

  • Credit invoices were not being included in the ‘Event Statement’ report
  • An Invoice could be completed even if required user fields were left blank

New Features
  • Added an ‘Alternate Address’ area for Companies and Contacts
  • Added a ‘Do Not Contact By’ list to Companies, Contacts, Event Attendees and Event Exhibitors to prevent them from receiving communications of the selected methods
  • Added Finance reports to the Event Print dialog. All finance reports will only print for the current event by default.
  • Added a ‘Save Images with Communication’ option to communications, allowing the user to select whether or not to save the embedded images with the communication
Enhancement
  • Added a ‘Deposit Invoice Suffix’ System Setting to allow easy detection of deposit invoices within QuickBooks
Fixes
  • ‘Could not update; currently locked’ errors occurring
  • The ‘Remove Letter Images From Communications’ utility was not removing images from letter headers
  • Miscellaneous user fields were not available when modifying the ‘Miscellaneous Requirements’ report
  • Could not enter a user field of type ‘Time’ in some instances
  • The Booking Wizard set 'Booked From' and ‘Booked To’ times based on the defined location setup and teardown hours, even if those hours were zero, and even if there were System Setting defaults. The wizard now uses the System Setting default times if the location setup and teardown times are both 0.
  • Saved communication attachments were not being loaded when editing/viewing a communication
  • Catering and beverage details were not printing on the ‘Invoice Detailed’ report when part of a package
  • ‘Duplicate Entry’ error occurring when adding two identical staff to a package, if they started at the same time, but ended at different times
  • ‘Record already deleted’ error occurring when refreshing conflicts in certain circumstances in the Booking Wizard

  • When assigning emails to communications, the email grid was not refreshing after pressing ‘Assign’

  • Error occurring when trying to print the ‘Event Calendar by Month’ report and not using the ‘Sort By Display Fields’ option when using the ‘Show Events Only Once Per Date Booked’ option

  • When creating bookings from the Day view on the Booking Calendar page, the location added will default to the hour that was selected on the calendar

  • If viewed in Internet Explorer, the Bookings page would automatically scroll to the calendar instead of leaving it at the top of the page
  • If using the new version of Firefox or Safari, the date selection drop downs would no longer show the drop-down arrow or the change month and year arrows properly
  • If you used conflict checking, there was no check on locations that were automatically added through the Available or Bookings screens
  • Error occurring after editing a location, if conflict checking used

Don’t forget to consult the EventPro User Manual for the software help you need. The manual has just been updated to be current with Version 6.8.1.653. If you use Online Help, you will automatically access the latest version of the manual. If you use Local Help in the program, go to the program now, click on the Help menu and select Download and Update Local Help.
